In Barcelona you will find one of the worlds most impressive buildings La Sagrada Familia. It started building in 1882 and it´s still not finished. To visit this chatolic basilica you have to buy tickets well ahead and the what time slot you want to visit. I started with the sightseeing to Gaudis masterpieces by foot, after a while you can recognize the style.
To get a great view over Barcelona and also for a good uphill walk make sure to visit Castell de Montjuic on top of the highest peak. Great views and a big peace of spanish history. Buy a ticket fro the castle and stroll around before the descend. Another great view point in Barcelona and also a beautiful hill parc is Park Güell. An absolute must in Barcelona.
Fantastic tapas
One of the great things with Barcelona is that you have access to so many things in a relatively small area. Great sights, shopping, urban restaurants and also great beaches. There are several beaches and they are pretty much the same so just choose your favourite. There is also a classic beach walk with many sandy beach restaurants.
If you are in to tapas heaven, and if you really want to try one of the best for a good value then the restaurant Vinitius is a top choice and if there is no tables at the moment just order a glass of wine and wait in the seating row outside. The restaurant is located near plaza de Catalunya.
